This is something I've been wanting to do for AGES (and by ages I mean about 3 years) but never had the confidence to do it. I normally do not have much confidence in my ability to draw/paint...
environments? That is to say, anything which requires good knowledge of perspective. But I am proud to say that, after screwing around with vanishing points and trajectory lines and trying to draw on a grid, I ditched the guidelines and sketched this without them, straight out of my head, and when I checked my sketch with the aforementioned vanishing points and guide lines, I found the perspective to be completely correct. SMUGNESS ENSUED
But, yes. I have a bit more confidence in my perspective abilities now, and if I ever have any more ideas like this in the future, I will be sure to pursue them rather than push them toward the back of my mind as "something beyond my skill range".
ANYWAY.
Az's chamber. Or just a corner of it, because the room itself is huge. This is just the corner that he most often occupies, because of the couch. It's where he flops when he's feeling worthless and miserable, AND doesn't have any kingly duties he needs to be doing. Sometimes he even cuddles his blankie you see there. It's been replaced a few hundred times. He cries the shit out of every single one, so they wear out fast.
I'm not sure if I put this in the right category. Tell me if I didn't.
